PVD coating is the abbreviation of Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) in English, which refers to the use of low voltage and high current arc discharge technology under vacuum conditions, the use of vacuum coating equipment gas discharge to evaporate titanium plates and ionize the evaporated substances and gases, and the use of electric field acceleration to deposit the evaporated substances and their reaction products on the workpiece.
Main applications of PVD vacuum coating:

a. Cutting tools
The microstructure of PVD coating with fine nano particles has the characteristics of high toughness, high hardness, and high oxidation resistance, and can realize the extremely smooth surface without friction and chip removal during processing. In the process of coating deposition, the coating can be attached to the product substrate in a super strong way, and the deposition thickness of the coating can be effectively controlled (0.5 μ m-5 μ m on one side), and coating treatment can be carried out for different product types. The tools after PVD also have the thermal stability after CVD, so as to realize the powerful and efficient processing of tools (broaches, milling cutters, taps, drills, cutter grains, centering rods, etc.), making them have superior performance.
b. Mold, mold accessories and mechanical parts
The PVD coating process used for different molds (plastic mold, metal stamping mold, die-casting mold, molding mold, extension mold, stretching mold, flanging mold, etc.) and mold accessories (punch, thimble), mechanical wear-resistant, corrosion resistant parts and other hardware products with high requirements can significantly improve the product surface hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance and lubrication; It can also facilitate the film removal, greatly improve the quality (such as surface roughness, wear resistance, accuracy, etc.) and service life of the mold and parts, so that they can effectively play the potential of the product.
